Dear friends,
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession- to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
The apostle Paul almost trips over himself with these eloquent words that reflect the amazing gift of good news. In Christ, we are not alone. He has given us his Holy Spirit to lead, guide, heal and teach us. We have been reflecting on this great gift and how we so easily forget that the Holy Spirit is present. We may forget, but the Holy Spirit never forgets about us. As one friend said, “a caring parent always is holding their son or daughter in their heart”. Remembering his presence, which is a deposit, a guarantee of his love is a mark along our way toward teleios (maturity). As he is always thinking of us, may we more and more think of him!
This past year has continued to be a challenge across the world. For many it has and continues to be a struggle. Our prayer is that you will be encouraged from the inside out as you follow our risen Lord. It has been our goal over these past months, as we meet with different ones of you and as our groups meet virtually; to keep pressing into what it means to be rooted in the love of Jesus- to remember him. Thank you for participating and continuing to grow and press further into His great love.
Many of you participated in this year’s virtual Teleios Celebration in September. There were so many encouraging stories from different men and their journey with Christ.
